DAMA Mongolia Chapter and the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to integrate internationally recognized data management knowledge and practices into the university’s data and artificial intelligence curricula, prepare students for international professional certification, and collaborate on education, research, and professional development.

Under the MoU, the two organizations will collaborate in the following areas:

Integrating DAMA-DMBOK® knowledge and practices into the curriculum

The knowledge areas of DAMA-DMBOK®, an internationally recognized body of knowledge for data management, will be incorporated into MUST’s data and artificial intelligence programs. This will enable students to develop a structured understanding of contemporary data management concepts, principles, and practices alongside their core studies.

Supporting students in preparing for CDMP® certification

Final-year students in relevant programs will receive information on the CDMP® examination and certification process, preparation guidance, and authorized practice tests, as well as opportunities to participate in the CDMP® (PIYP) program. This support aims to help students demonstrate their professional knowledge against international requirements and earn an internationally recognized certification before graduation.

Supporting internships and introductory work placements

DAMA Mongolia Chapter will explore opportunities to support student internships and introductory work placements through its member and partner organizations, connecting students with relevant organizations. These opportunities will help students relate classroom learning to real organizational settings, become familiar with professional environments, and gain practical experience.

Collaborating on education, research, and knowledge sharing

The two organizations will collaborate on lectures, seminars, discussions, mentorship, research, joint programs, and public outreach initiatives.
